CES Devotional: “The Importance of Education”

All high school age youth and their parents are invited to attend this area-wide devotional focused on the importance of education for Latter-day Saints. This devotional will explore how to involve the Lord in learning and highlight various educational opportunities provided by the Church. Messages will be shared by:

Elder Jose L. Alonso, General Authority Seventy, US Southwest Area President
Elder Clark G. Gilbert, General Authority Seventy, Commissioner of the Church Education System
President C. Shane Reese, BYU President, and Wendy Reese
President Alvin F. Meredith III, BYU-Idaho President, and Jennifer Meredith

As taught in the Doctrine and Covenants, “The glory of God is intelligence” (D&C 93:36), and those who gain knowledge through diligence and obedience in this life will be blessed in the life to come (D&C 130:19). We hope this devotional will inspire our remarkable youth to better understand how to partner with the Lord in their education as they strive to reach their divine potential.
