DESCRIPTION:February 28\, 2026 there will be a Preparedness Fair at Barney Park\, 511 E Galveston St\, Gilbert AZ 85295. Hosted by Gilbert Arizona Stake and joined by Greenfield\, Stapley and Val Vista Stakes. Below is a shared website that will have more information and a wealth of information on being prepared. \nWe are excited to announce our stake is partnering with the surrounding stakes in Gilbert for a much larger community fair on Saturday\, February 28\,  2026. We have partnered with the Gilbert Greenfield\, Gilbert Stapley and the Gilbert Val Vista Stakes for this event. This fair is bigger than the other fairs we have held and this time it is at Barney Park\, 511 E. Galveston St.\, Gilbert\, AZ 85295. Galveston is the halfway street between Ray and Williams Field roads. The ball field is west of Lindsay Road. It starts at 9:00 am and goes to 2:00 pm. This is a free event! Bring the whole family. Watch for flyers and invite and bring your neighbors. \nCheck out the website: https://gilbertprepared.org for information on the fair as well as “how to” articles. \nTime to plant \nHow’s your garden coming? February is a good time to start planting seeds. For information on what and when to plant\, visit this University of Arizona website: \nVegetable Planting Calendar for Maricopa County (arizona.edu) \nAnother thing you might want to consider as you plant is what plants compliment other plants. These are referred to as “companion plants.” Check online for more information. \nAs you work on preparedness and food storage\, remember these words from Elder David A. Bednar: “Additional aspects of a spiritual foundation for temporal preparedness include acting ‘in wisdom and order’ [Mosiah 4:27]\, which implies a gradual buildup of food storage and savings over time\, as well as embracing ‘small and simple’ means [Alma 37:6]\, which is a demonstration of faith that the Lord will magnify our small but consistent efforts.” \n— \nEl 28 de febrero de 2026 se llevará a cabo una Feria de Preparación para Emergencias en Barney Park\, ubicado en 511 E Galveston St\, Gilbert\, AZ 85295.
