DESCRIPTION:I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) provides homeless people a safe place to sleep and a hot meal every night of the week. Of the 25 I-HELP participants\, some have jobs during the day and some do not.  For those without employment\, the men and women need a place during the day from 9 am to 4 pm to escape the summer heat. \nFrom the last week of May through the month of June\, Monday through Friday\, we have the opportunity to partner with the City of Gilbert to provide a safe space for heat respite to these I-HELP participants. \nJustserve and the Gilbert Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints are looking for volunteers to help with this wonderful service.  This will take place at the Cullumber church building at 222 E. Cullumber Ave. Gilbert\, AZ 85234. \nWe need help with the following: \n\nLunches daily for 15 people\nVolunteers daily for AM and PM shifts\nLaundry (assignment is from Monday to Friday) during the evenings\nIce\nPlease review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up.  \n\nIf you have any questions please contact Karin Brimhall at 480-518-4406 or Donelle Quinn at 602-228-4383. DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Needy is a local food bank here in Gilbert that serves the community. We are in need of 2 volunteers the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month to help fill orders\, organize food\, or other tasks that we might need help with at that time. SORRY but we are not able to take more than 2 per day\, we are a small facility.  PLEASE MAKE SURE you sign up here on JustServe and DO NOT JUST SHOW UP- YOU MUST SIGN UP. This is greatly appreciated so that we can plan for our volunteers. \nThere is no age limit for our volunteers. However\, please do not drop off your kids and run 🙂  If you are bringing kids\, please plan to stay and work with them. \n  \nFriends of the Needy es un banco de alimentos local aquí en Gilbert que sirve a la comunidad. DESCRIPTION:We have Bingo on our memory care unit every Tuesday from 10-11 …and each Friday from 10-11 and 3-4.  We would love to have volunteers from our community come and call out the numbers.  You will have so much fun as our residents LOVE Bingo.  You are welcome to bring older kids with you that are able to help you call out the numbers. \nWhen you arrive please come to either the Apple or Almond home and ring the bell.  Arriving 5 minutes early is helpful.
