SUMMARY:Youth - Finding Strength in the Lord: Emotional Resilience
DESCRIPTION:This is a special Self-Reliance course for Juniors\, Seniors and New Graduates. This 10-week course covers topics such as building emotional resilience\, developing healthy thinking patterns\, managing stress and anxiety\, understanding sadness and depression\, and overcoming anger. Course takes place on Sundays 3 pm-4:15 pm starting Aug 27 to Nov 12 at the Stake Center (No class Oct 1 or Oct 8 which is Fall Break). \nTo view course materials you can go to the Life Help page and scroll down to the “Self-Reliance Courses” section. DESCRIPTION:On October 22\, 2023\, Latter-day Saint youth around the world are invited to gather for a first of its kind global youth testimony meeting to bear witness of Jesus Christ.Church President Russell M. Nelson\, Young Woman General President Emily Belle Freeman\, and Young Men General President Steven J. Lund will participate in this meeting by sharing their testimonies in a short\, pre-recorded message to be used in the meeting. This event is not a centralized broadcast. \nYouth and leaders are encouraged to gather at 7 p.m.* local time on Sunday\, October 22 (at Ward level\, to view the message and then share testimonies with one another. As youth gather and share locally\, the world will be filled with testimony of Jesus Christ. \nBelow is a suggested outline for this meeting: \n\nOpening musical number and prayer by youth\nView the pre-recorded message (video will be about 20 minutes long)\nTestimonies from youth\nClosing prayer\nPost-event gathering as desired\n\nThis event is an opportunity to emphasize the youth theme “I Can Do All Things Through Christ” and for youth to share with their peers how their testimonies of Jesus Christ have grown over the past year. \nYouth can connect globally during the 24 hours of testimonies by sharing their experiences using the hashtag #AllThingsThroughChrist. \n*Start times may be adjusted as needed by local leadership  \nMore information \n  \nEl 22 de octubre de 2023\, se invita a los jóvenes Santos de los Últimos Días de todo el mundo a reunirse para la primera reunión mundial de testimonio de jóvenes de este tipo para dar testimonio de Jesucristo.
